Brighid's Quest

PC Cast returns to the mythical world of Partholon with her December release, Brighid's Quest. Romantic Times gives Brighid's Quest 4 stars, and Harriet Klausner calls Brighid's Quest a "fascinating action packed romantic fantasy where true love can conquer all."

Fleeing her centaur clan's increasingly militant beliefs, Brighid Dhianna has begun to find peace and acceptance among the humans of Clan MacCallan. Still, she agrees to leave her newly formed friendships to guide her clan chieftain's grieving brother home.

As she journeys, Brighid discovers that the long-dormant Shaman blood that runs so thickly in her veins will no longer be silenced. As seductive new powers begin to beckon, Brighid glimpses a future that is more impossible -- and more magical -- than any she could have dared to imagine.

But when tragedy summons her back to the Centaur Plains, Brighid must make a decision that will affect not only her friendship with the humans, but the centaur herd and indeed the world. For the Great Goddess Epona has set her on a new path that demands everything she has to give.

When the whole world is turning to her for help, healing the heart of a warrior doesn't sound so daunting.

Oooh! I'm so glad that it's FINALLY Brighid's turn! I do adore this book! I dealt with a couple issues that were very difficult: crazy bio-mom versus the mother of your soul, as well as the interspecies sex issue (centaur heroine, human hero). I love what RT said about it:
“…Cast’s tales of Partholon are truly magical. The world is an intriguing mix of Celtic folklore and Greek legend, peopled with an astonishing range of unique races, from the Goddess-touched humans to the powerful centaurs to the winged New Fomorians.
Daringly casting a half-human/half-equine as a romantic heroine, this fantasy adventure explores the nature of love, both physical and spiritual, and the soul’s ability to rebound from tragedy. Cast once again challenges readers to look beyond outward appearances and, simultaneously, crafts an exciting adventure that will appeal both to romance and traditional fantasy fans.”

Wow, I'm so glad I popped in and saw this. Last I remember, I was agonizing over how long I had left to go before it would come out.

Next thing...

BAM!! It's out!!

I love it when this happens.
*sigh*
